Oh, sweet nuthin
So I just returned from my 6 states, 6 flights, 7 days tour of the American South. Last Friday, I was here on The Moon. Then I was in Manchester, New Hampshire and then on to Northboro and Boston, Massachusetts. On Saturday, it was down to Providence, Rhode Island and on to Hotlanta, Georgia, then finally to Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Then I did it all again, in reverse order, on Wednesday and Thursday. I was, um, kinda tired by yesterday. One of my cousins from Indiana was getting married on the beach down there, and it was pretty cool. I put on two coats of sunscreen every time I went outside and didn't get burned - go me! I got to see the town where they filmed The Truman Show, and that was pretty creepy but surprisingly nice and artsy. My family was the only bunch of Yanks there, so my dad kept freaking out because none of them used correct English. He kept looking at me, the English major, to back him up, but I'm just not nearly as anal as he is. He didn't want to be a dick to my relatives, so he just paid super close attention to our direct family's speech and corrected us all the time. It was dreadful. Overall, though, it was pretty nice; I'm sure glad to be back on The Moon, though.I was extra glad to get back here because I had a meeting with Public Interest Research Graphics, the graphics department of the non-profit I've been working with for the past two summers. They offered me a job for a year as a web administrator for their state websites, and I accepted it. Check it out - I'm gainfully employed. Ha! I start on June 22nd, so I'm trying to figure out what to do until then. Anyone have anything mindless (besides reading a Dan Brown novel) to do until then?
Ok, off to the bank in the rain!
